CGL 2018 Tier 1 exam postponed? SSC issues official notification for clarification

After the Supreme Court paved way for the result of SSC CGL 2017 exam, which was allegedly leaked, there were reports that CGL 2018 Tier 1 exam that was scheduled from 4th June 2019 will be postponed. SSC has refuted these reports and confirmed that the exam will be held as per the schedule.

The exam will be conducted through computer-based mode across the country and SSC CGL 2018 Tier 1 exam will be conducted from 4th June to 19th June 2019.

The SSC is a government body which conducts examinations to recruit staff at multiple levels in various ministries and departments.

Several lakh students appear in SSC examination each year and enter government services in Group C and D Categories of jobs once they qualify. The SSC Combined Graduate Level exam has a four-tier system, in which tier I and tier II are computer-based, while in tier III and IV, job applicants take up a descriptive paper and a computer proficiency test or skill test.
