Shi’ites members break into Nigeria's National Assembly complex

The members of the Shi'ites group formally known as the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) carried out a protest in front of the National Assembly complex of Nigeria on Tuesday, according to local media reports. The protest soon turned violent and resulted in a fierce encounter with the security operatives.

According to the local media, the protestors have also shot four security personnel and have also set ablaze cars near the complex. The security personnel fired tear gas at the protestors. The sitting of the members of the house of representatives has been adjourned due to security concerns.

According to unverified sources, the two security personnel shot by the protestors are dead. A member of the group was also seen carrying the body of an about15-year-old boy at the scene of the crisis.
