4 die after under-construction building collapses in Nigeria's Delta state - report

Four people have died after an under-construction building collapsed in Abraka, Ethiope East council area of Delta state in Nigeria, according to local media reports. There is an unspecified number of people reportedly suspected to be trapped under the building which identified as the new 206 Hotel.

The cause of the collapse could not be ascertained but it is being believed that the heavy rainfall in Abraka since Friday evening might have played some role.

It was also gathered that the casualties caught under the structure when it crashed were some of the construction workers who arrived early for work.

Abraka is the place which houses the famous Delta State University popularly known as DELSU.
