'Racial slurs' found near exploded house in Ohio, US - report

An explosion occurred at an unoccupied house early Wednesday in Wayne County, Ohio and "racial slurs" were found painted on the garage and nearby vehicles, Fox8 has reported. The Ohio fire marshal has been called in and the investigation is underway.

No one was at home at the time of the explosion and no injuries were reported.

Fox8 reported that a swastika and racist slurs were spotted on the garage and also on neighbors' vehicles. Some local media platforms have also reported that firefighters are suspecting arson.

There has been a sharp rise in hate crimes in recent days and it has become a subject of intense debate, especially after Dayton mass shootings.
