Afghan forces kill 6 Taliban members, arrest 3 others in Wardak

The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) have killed six Taliban terrorists and detained three others during special operations in Wardak province of Afghanistan, the Defense Ministry of Afghanistan announced on its official Twitter account on Saturday. The ministry said in a statement that a large scale weapons and ammunitions belonging to the Taliban were also destroyed in the operation.

Afghan Special Forces conducted an operation in Chak district of the province. As a result, at least two Taliban fighters were killed and one militant was wounded.
Meanwhile, Afghan forces conducted a separate operation in Said Abad district in which at least four militants were killed and two others were detained.
However, the local media has reported that the Taliban claimed that the operation in Chak was on local residents’ houses and Afghan forces have arrested two civilians during the raids.
