All the three packages which were reported to be suspicious have been fully investigated by the Police and have been declared safe.

The Fulton Street subway station in Lower Manhattan was cleared off by the bomb squad of New York Police Department (NYPD). The suspicious packages are not explosive devices, the NYPD Counterterrorism tweeted. The reported packages have turned out to be two pressure cookers. Out of an abundance of caution, officers have searched the nearby stations as well.

Meanwhile, a third suspicious package was also reported at W 16th Street & 7th Avenue. The New York City Police have fully investigated the package and declared it safe.

The major lower Manhattan subway station was evacuated after reports of two suspicious packages. The New York Police Department warned people to avoid the Fulton Street and William Sreet in the Fulton Street subway station (Manhattan) due to a police investigation. The reports caused a major inconvenience to the commuters as A, C, J, Z, 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains were not stopping at Fulton St in both directions while NYPD was conducting an investigation at that station.

"There is number 2 or 3 train service between Chambers St and Atlantic Av-Barclays Center in both directions. 2 trains are running on the 5 line between Nevins St and 149 St-Grand Concourse in both directions. The last stop on southbound 3 trains will be Chambers St or South Ferry," the NYCT Subway tweeted.
