8 Taliban terrorists including key commanders killed in Afghanistan

Eight Taliban terrorists including key commanders have been killed during a clash with Afghan National Police (ANP) in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Afghanistan said on Saturday.

The Ministry said in a statement that six Taliban terrorists were killed in an encounter with ANP in Sarsang region, Pul-e-Alam City of Logar province. Ziaulhaq, a key commander of Taliban terrorists was among those killed.

It further added that two local commanders of Taliban terrorists were killed following a clash with ANP in Qates region, Firoz Koh City of Ghor province.

Meanwhile, three Taliban terrorists were wounded in a clash with ANP in Toop Khana village, Sancharak District of Sar-e-Pul.

Yesterday 12 Taliban terrorists were killed and eight others were injured by ANDSF during an operation that took place in Qarabagh district of Ghazni province.

Two days ago on Aug 15, Taliban chief of terror operations Mawlavi Qudratullah was also killed in Logar. He was killed during an operation by Afghan National Defence and Security Forces ANDSF in Patkhab Village located in the provincial capital of Logar. Mawlavi Qudratullah was mainly involved in terrorist-related activities on Highway No. 2 of Logar besides having a major role in overall terrorist-related activities across Logar.
