US watchdog's report shows huge US spending in Afghanistan

A watchdog in the United States assigned to keep a note of government spending has presented some shocking results.

According to it, an amount of USD 15.5 billion in a span of 11 years has been spent in Afghanistan, that too is considered to be just a part of the total spending.

The report comes amid Taliban continues to gain grounds on the battlefield against Afghan government backed by the United States.

Trump Administration, on the other hand, has launched a diplomatic channel to end the war.
