CAA-NRC: Maha committee to seek report on other states'

The Maharashtra cabinet subcommittee to study the Citizenship Amendment Act, NationalRegister of Citizens and National Population Register hasdecided to seek a report on the guidelines being followed byothers states on these issues

The committee was announced by Chief Minister UddhavThackeray during the recent budget session of the statelegislature to study these issues and advise the government onthe stand to be taken in this regard

The meeting was chaired by Parliamentary affairsminister Anil Parab. Minority affairs minister Nawab Malik,housing minister Jitendra Awhad, animal husbandry ministerSunil Kedar and higher and technical education minister UdaySamant attended the meeting.
