No new COVID-19 case in Nagaland

Nagaland did not report any fresh COVID-19 case on Monday, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

The coronavirus tally in the state remained at 12,192.

One more person was cured of the disease, taking the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the state to 11,937.

''No +ve case of #COVID-19 reported today. One +ve patient have recovered in Kohima,'' the minister said in a tweet.

Nagaland currently has 12 active coronavirus cases of which 10 patients are in Kohima and two in Dimapur, Director of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Denis Hangsing said.

The COVID-19 recovery rate in the state is 97.90 per cent, Dr Hangsing said in the daily COVID-19 bulletin.

So far 91 persons have succumbed to the infection, while 152 patients have migrated to other states.

Nagaland has so far tested a total of 1,29,228 suspected COVID-19 samples, including 74,613 on RT-PCR, 37,310 on TrueNat and 17,305 on Rapid Antigen Test, Dr Hangsing said.

Meanwhile, State Immunisation Officer Dr Ritu Thurr said as of Saturday 21,481 people including 12,777 frontline workers and 8,704 healthcare professionals have been administered the COVID-19 vaccine.

Among the healthcare professionals, 3,909 have received the second shot of the vaccine, said Dr Thurr.
