Shiv Sena MP and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's son, Shrikant Shinde, has called for the transformation of primary health centres into smart health centres equipped with modern facilities and experienced staff.
During the district planning committee meeting at Thane collectorate, chaired by Guardian Minister Shambhuraj Desai, Shinde made these recommendations as the MP from Kalyan constituency.
Shinde also stressed the need for GPS-equipped ambulances to ensure prompt emergency response, noting that the district currently lacks a streamlined system for ambulance deployment. He proposed a comprehensive dashboard to track ambulance locations and driver information.
Additionally, Shinde pushed for converting municipal and district council schools into model smart schools furnished with modern amenities. Thane Collector Ashok Shingare assured that a proposal for these initiatives would be submitted within a week.
