A 59-year-old man, Ravindran Nair, who was trapped inside a hospital lift for two days, was finally rescued on Monday morning, police reported.
Nair, a resident of Ulloor, had entered the lift at the OP Block of the government medical college on Saturday for a medical checkup but found himself stuck after the lift malfunctioned.
Police explained that the incident was discovered when the lift operator carried out routine maintenance on Monday. By that time, Nair's family had already filed a missing persons report on Sunday night.
