78-Year-Old Texan Woman Dies En Route to Jaipur for Medical Treatment

Jaqueline Austin, a 78-year-old woman from Texas, died while being transported to Jaipur for medical treatment. She had married 34-year-old Bharat Joshi, whom she met on Facebook, last December. After her health deteriorated, she was admitted to a private hospital in Kota before being referred to Jaipur where she succumbed.

Jaqueline Austin, a 78-year-old woman from Texas, passed away while being taken to Jaipur for enhanced medical care, according to local police reports.

Married to 34-year-old Bharat Joshi, Austin had moved to Kota last August after connecting with Joshi through Facebook. The couple got married in December at a local court.

Her health took a turn for the worse on July 7, leading to her hospitalization in a private Kota facility. When her condition deteriorated further, she was referred to a superior medical center in Jaipur, where she ultimately died. Authorities have placed her body in the New Medical College Hospital's mortuary, and standard procedures are being followed.
