In the last 24 hours, 487 new positive cases have been reported, bringing the cumulative total to 10,449 since January.

The report indicates that out of the 10,449 cases, 358 are active and under treatment, with the fatality rate standing at eight. Among the positive cases, Bengaluru's BBMP jurisdiction recorded 3,770 cases, followed by Chikkamangaluru with 621 cases and Mysuru with 562.

Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao announced that the government is taking extensive measures to combat the outbreak and urged citizens to stay vigilant, especially during the ongoing monsoon season.
