JRS Pharma, a leading manufacturer of excipients, has teamed up with Gujarat Microwax Pvt Ltd. to open a state-of-the-art facility for cotton-based croscarmellose sodium in Mehsana. This new plant, operational from July 10, 2024, is their fourth manufacturing site in India. The grand opening saw attendance from over 50 pharmaceutical company heads and other dignitaries.
Known for its plant fiber technology and a 149-year legacy, JRS Pharma offers a comprehensive portfolio of high-functionality excipients, including binders, disintegrants, lubricants, and more. Their 18-year partnership with Gujarat Microwax Pvt Ltd. has been fruitful. Rohit Raut, MD of Rettenmaier India, highlighted the growing demand for functional excipients in India due to increasing health and wellness awareness. Similarly, Manas Jhajharia, Director of Gujarat Microwax, underscored the plant's potential to meet global standards and reduce import dependency.
This expansion is a major step toward self-sufficiency in the Indian excipient market, with JRS Pharma also providing top-notch technical support and biopharma services to address customer needs and formulation challenges.
