AIIMS Delhi has issued a stern warning to its protesting resident doctors, emphasizing that any demonstrations on or near the hospital campus contravene High Court directives and could be considered contempt of court.
The Delhi AIIMS' Resident Doctors' Association began an indefinite strike on Monday, halting all elective and non-essential services, including OPDs and wards, in response to the purported rape and murder of a trainee doctor at a government hospital in Kolkata.
The administration circulated an office memorandum on Monday, reminding all resident doctors of the 'Code of Conduct' established by the High Court of Delhi on May 20, 2002. The memo warned that any breach of these directives would render them liable to disciplinary action and contempt of court.
