In a move to reassure the public, Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav affirmed on Friday that the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust services will continue without any interruptions. He emphasized that the state government is prioritizing the clearance of pending dues to private hospitals.
The NTR Seva Trust provides free healthcare to eligible low-income individuals, aiming for universal health coverage in the southern state. Many impoverished patients benefit from this scheme as the government covers their medical expenses in private hospitals.
Upon assuming office, Yadav stated that the NDA government disbursed Rs 162 crore initially, and Rs 200 crore more recently, with an additional Rs 300 crore to be paid within a week. The government has cleared 35% of the Rs 2,500 crore dues, and monthly payment prospects will be discussed with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
