A doctor from a private hospital has been booked for allegedly molesting a 17-year-old girl, police confirmed on Thursday.
The family of the victim lodged a police complaint on Wednesday, claiming the incident occurred on August 17 while the girl was admitted for surgery. Superintendent of Police (SP) Satyanarain Prajapati said the doctor is now facing charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
The doctor's alleged misconduct took place during a routine medical round in the ward. Police have initiated a search to locate and apprehend the accused, according to SP Prajapati.
