The shocking event took place during the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday and has prompted widespread outrage among resident doctors. The Junior Doctor Association (JDA) has called for heightened security measures, drawing parallels to a recent tragic event at a Kolkata hospital.

In response, MYH's management has formed a four-member committee to investigate the matter. The hospital, affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, has also faced criticism for lax security, highlighted by a video showing a security guard asleep on the job.
