A father in Chhattisgarh's Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district has alleged that his one-and-a-half-month-old son died after his health worsened post-vaccination. However, state health officials have dismissed these claims as untrue.

Sarvan Ayam reported that his child was vaccinated on Tuesday at an immunisation camp in Semardarri village. He described that the baby's condition deteriorated upon returning home, requiring further medical care. Despite being transferred to the district hospital and scheduled for further treatment, the infant tragically passed away.

District Immunisation Officer Dr. KK Soni and Block Medical Officer Dr. Harshvardhan Mehar insist that the child's death was due to pre-existing anemia and pneumonia, not the vaccination. They noted that other children vaccinated in the same session remained unaffected.
