Telangana Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, announced on Thursday that the state government is contemplating the creation of digital health profiles for all citizens. This initiative aims to streamline medical treatments by providing doctors with easy access to patients' medical history.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Durgabai Deshmukh cancer centre, Reddy highlighted that patients often forget past treatments, and doctors may lack the time to fully understand each patient's medical history. A digital health profile could be a solution, offering doctors a convenient way to access a patient's previous history in a single click.
The chief minister also mentioned that the government aims to roll out the 'family digital health card' within 30 days. This card will be connected to various state welfare schemes, allowing beneficiaries to access health services, ration, and other government services effortlessly. An official release noted that the 'one state-one digital card' initiative is also being considered to facilitate the seamless provision of various benefits across the state.
