Junior doctors in West Bengal resumed their indefinite strike on Tuesday to demand safety and security at medical establishments.
The protest follows a previous 42-day agitation, partially ended on September 21, which was sparked by the rape-murder of a woman doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9.
'We do not see any positive approach from the state government to fulfill our demands for safety and security,' Aniket Mahato, an agitating junior doctor, told PTI. 'Unless we see clear action, this complete cease work will continue.'
