The young patient had been experiencing acute abdominal pain and digestive problems, leading him to seek medical help. The team, led by Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology, Dr. Shubham Vatsya, conducted an Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Endoscopy, revealing the unusual intruder lodged in his intestine.

A specialized endoscope with dual-channel capabilities facilitated the extraction process. Such rare cases can have life-threatening consequences if not addressed promptly, cautioned Dr. Vatsya. The insect may have been ingested during eating or possibly entered his body while sleeping, posing a significant risk if intervention had been delayed.
