Prof. Ciechanover, who earned his Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2004, highlighted the historical advancements in ubiquitin research and stressed the importance of maintaining a democratic environment to foster scientific progress. The three-day conference, organized by SRM MCH&RC in conjunction with the NCBS Bangalore, featured over 19 speakers from countries like Israel, Australia, and Japan. SRMIST Founder Chancellor Dr. T.
