U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy urges the postponement of a CDC panel meeting due to a small panel size and the absence of a CDC Director to approve recommendations.
U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, who chairs the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, has urged the postponement of a forthcoming meeting of U.S. vaccine advisers.
Cassidy expressed concerns in a social media post about the small size of the panel and the lack of a CDC Director to approve any recommendations made by the advisory group.
The meeting, led by the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, is currently scheduled for June 25 and 26.
