An unexpected tragedy struck a Wada school in Palghar district when an 11-year-old student, Vedika Zate, reportedly died from a suspected snakebite. Senior inspector Datta Kindre stated that the incident occurred on June 26.

The classmates of the victim claimed it was a snakebite incident, and the police have registered an accidental death report pending the post-mortem findings.

Meanwhile, the child's parents have accused the school administration of failing to promptly transport their daughter to the hospital, potentially complicating the situation further.
