In a bid to curb the spread of HIV and syphilis, the National Health Mission (NHM) has teamed up with the Himachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society. This collaboration is focused on providing more comprehensive testing in the state.
The initiative emphasizes regular screenings for pregnant women, including those who give birth at home. This move intends to ensure that timely care and proper support are extended to all expecting mothers, which is crucial to preventing the spread of these infections.
According to NHM Mission Director Pradeep Kumar, the concerted efforts represent a substantial advancement toward reducing HIV and syphilis cases, ensuring the well-being of the state's population.
