Mizoram's Lunglei district has garnered national attention with its innovative health initiative, Project Bloom, officials revealed on Friday.

Launched under the theme 'Transforming Health: Breakthrough Interventions,' the project was highlighted at NITI Aayog's 'Best Practices Seminar' in New Delhi, showcasing it as one of the top 19 successful health practices among 329 districts nationwide.

Addressing maternal and child health issues, Project Bloom focuses on difficult terrains and seeks to improve health indicators in Lungsen block by offering transport services and community support, leading to marked progress in institutional deliveries and antenatal care.
