The Department of Health Research is gearing up for Special Campaign 5.0, a nationwide initiative to enhance cleanliness and manage office pendency, officials announced. Scheduled from October 2 to 31, the campaign aims to institutionalize cleanliness practices across its facilities and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
A key focus this year will be the disposal of e-waste. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has outlined specific actions for both the preparatory and implementation phases to ensure effective waste management. Instructions for identifying and disposing of e-waste have already been issued.
The campaign will also target overall office cleanliness, improve record management systems, and reduce pending matters within the PMO and MP references. A nodal officer will oversee the campaign's progress, ensuring that goals set during the planning phase are achieved efficiently.
