Metropolis Healthcare has acquired Kolhapur-based Ambika Pathology Laboratory to strengthen its presence in Western Maharashtra. Metropolis Healthcare has completed its acquisition of Ambika Pathology Laboratory, located in Kolhapur. The announcement on Thursday highlights this strategic move as a boost to the company's offerings in Western Maharashtra.

Founded by Dr. Rajendra Sadashiv Patil, the NABL-accredited Ambika Pathology Laboratory is known for its leading diagnostic services in the region. The acquisition, facilitated through a business transfer agreement, allows Metropolis to integrate Ambika's capabilities into its expanding B2C network.

Ameera Shah, Promoter and Executive Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare, emphasized Maharashtra's importance, noting it contributes nearly 40% of the company's revenues. She expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, which aims to broaden access to high-quality diagnostic services across communities.
