In a significant healthcare upgrade, Jharkhand will soon provide comprehensive treatment for 21 critical diseases at select government and private hospitals, according to an official announcement on Wednesday.

The initiative will cover major hospitals such as the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences and Sadar Hospital in Ranchi, along with others in Dhanbad and Jamshedpur, as detailed in an official release following a meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary of Health, Ajoy Kumar Singh.

The move aims to enhance local medical facilities and reduce the need for patients to seek treatment outside the state. Diseases included in the program range from cancer and kidney transplant to bone marrow transplant, supported under the Mukhya Mantri Abua Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.
