The death toll from suspected milk adulteration in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district has risen to 14, with six others under medical care in Rajamahendravaram hospitals.
Investigations revealed that victims faced multi-organ failure due to acute renal complications after consuming ethylene glycol-tainted milk, police stated on Friday.
The outbreak, linked to milk supplied by vendor Addala Ganeswararao, started on February 16, impacting Lalacheruvu village. Despite warnings, contaminated milk sales continued, resulting in hospitalizations and tragic fatalities.
