More than a dozen residents of Krishna Lok Housing Society fell ill with diarrhoea after drinking contaminated water. Officials confirmed the incident on Wednesday.

Located along the Delhi-Agra highway, the society is opposite Jait police station. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Radha Vallabh reported symptoms including stomach pain and vomiting among residents.

A medical team quickly attended to the affected, while epidemiologists later examined them and distributed medicines. A preliminary inquiry attributed the contamination to neglected water tank cleaning, revealing bird droppings and monkey waste inside. Fortunately, the condition of the patients has improved, and the situation is under control.
