The Union Health Ministry has unveiled a new digital platform, JANANI, aimed at transforming maternal and child healthcare services with a comprehensive tracking system for beneficiaries. This innovation, announced at the national summit on Innovation and Inclusivity Best Practices, promises real-time monitoring and interoperable health records.

JANANI is an evolution of the Reproductive and Child Health portal, providing continuous health record maintenance for women during reproductive years. It enhances service delivery monitoring across various stages, such as antenatal care, delivery preparedness, and family planning. The platform's standout features include QR-enabled MCH cards and automated alerts for high-risk cases.

Designed for integration with national health systems like U-WIN and POSHAN, JANANI allows seamless data sharing. With facilities like mobile registration and health guidance, the platform has seen wide adoption with 1.34 crore registrations. This launch underscores the government's commitment to quality healthcare through digital advancements.
