16 people killed due to consumption of spurious liquor in Bangladesh

At least 16 people have died over a period of three days and nearly a dozen others are being treated after the consumption of spurious liquor during Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in northwestern Bangladesh. "16 people have died so fare due to the consumption of spurious liquor. Some of them died at their home, some on their way to hospitals," a senior police official familiar with the tragedy told PTI over the phone
However, the state-run BSS news agency reported that the people had died in two different incidents
Authorities have ordered an inquiry to find out the places where the homemade liquors are brewed illegally.
