This trip marks one of Jaishankar's first engagements following his re-appointment in the Modi government.
The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that the visit aims to review various aspects of the bilateral relationship, comprising historical, demographic, and cultural ties. Notably, Indian-origin people make up nearly 70% of Mauritius' population, underscoring the special bond between the countries.
