US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will tour Vietnam, Laos, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Mongolia from July 24 to August 3. This marks his 18th visit to the Indo-Pacific region since taking office, aiming to reaffirm the significance of US alliances in advancing regional security and prosperity.
In Japan, Blinken will attend the Quad Foreign Ministers meeting alongside his counterparts from Australia, India, and Japan. The discussions will focus on regional stability, prosperity, and ways to deliver tangible benefits across the Indo-Pacific, emphasizing their shared commitment to a free and open region.
While in Laos, Blinken will participate in several ASEAN conferences, underscoring US support for ASEAN centrality and its vision aligned with US Indo-Pacific Strategy.
