Eyewitnesses have recounted the harrowing experience of witnessing the Nepal plane crash that claimed 18 lives. They revealed that if the plane hadn't hit the container, it would have definitely crashed into a residential area.

Aadesh Lama, an eyewitness, said, 'I was working at my garage in the morning when I heard a loud sound. We initially thought it was a tyre burst but discovered it was a plane crash. It struck a container, saving the residential area from potential disaster.'

Another eyewitness, Krishna Bahadur Thapa, detailed the chaotic moments following the crash. 'I heard a loud bang and thought it was a vehicle accident. It turned out to be an aircraft. The plane slid down, stopped, then caught fire. I rushed to the site, heard an explosion, and ran back in fear,' Thapa told ANI.

According to The Himalayan Times, a Saurya Airlines aircraft crashed during take-off at Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday. The plane, en route to Pokhara from Kathmandu, burst into flames after hitting a container. TIA officials confirmed 18 fatalities and one survivor, the pilot.

Gyanendra Bhul, information officer at TIA, confirmed that the CRJ 200 aircraft, registered as 9N-AME, was only carrying technical staff and no passengers. Security personnel, including Nepal Police and the Nepali Army, were deployed to the crash site to assist in rescue operations.
