The UAE concluded its successful run at the IMMAF Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi, securing a total of 12 medals, including four gold, one silver, and seven bronze, as the event wrapped up on Saturday. Rising MMA star Zamzam Al Hammadi successfully defended her title by defeating the USA's Xerena Sikes with a unanimous decision in the Youth A 52.2 kg category.

Al Hammadi's journey to the finals was marked by a swift victory over Palestine's Taghrid Akkawi via armbar and subsequent wins against Italy's Elena Indelicato and Poland's Sara Dembinska, both by unanimous decision. This win marks her second consecutive gold at the championship, solidifying her status as a dominant force in the sport.

The championships concluded with Ukraine topping the medal table for the fourth consecutive year, followed by Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Celebrations were heightened as Thani Almehairi and Saeed Alnuaimi both secured bronze for the UAE. High-profile attendees included Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan and IMMAF President Kerrith Brown, who praised Abu Dhabi's hosting prowess. The UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation was commended for its role in promoting the sport and nurturing young talent.
