Memphis Grizzlies small forward Kyle Anderson will miss at least two to four weeks with a sprained left ankle, the team announced on Sunday.
The seriousness of Anderson's injury was detected during an MRI exam.
Anderson was injured during Saturday's 112-108 loss to the Miami Heat. Postgame X-rays were negative, coach J.B. Bickerstaff revealed after the contest.
Anderson, 25, is averaging 7.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 41 games (38 starts) this season.
Anderson also has provided Memphis with solid defensive play this season.
The loss of Anderson comes just two days after Grizzlies swingman Dillon Brooks underwent toe surgery that will likely end his season.
