Flyers place C Weise on waivers

The Philadelphia Flyers placed veteran forward Dale Weise on waivers, the club announced Tuesday.

Weise is making $2.35 million in the third season of a four-year deal.

If he clears waivers, Philadelphia could send him to Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League.

Weise, 30, has five goals and six assists (11 points) in 42 games with the Flyers. He has 17 goals and 17 assists (34 point) in 152 games with the club.

Weise has 54 career goals and 66 assists (120 points) in 481 career NHL games with the New York Rangers (2010-11), Vancouver Canucks (2011-14), Montreal Canadiens (2014-16), Chicago Blackhawks (2016) and the Flyers.
