Dr. Naseem Baloch, the chairman of the Baloch National Movement, has strongly condemned the systematic targeting of Baloch researchers, educators, and intellectuals. In a statement reported by The Balochistan Post, he argued that these attacks aim to undermine the intellectual backbone of the Baloch populace.

The TBP highlighted a recent case in Kech, where alleged Pakistani military proxies killed PhD researcher and education advocate Allah Dad Baloch in daylight, sparking widespread protest from the Baloch community and the victim's family. Furthermore, an assassination attempt on Ustad Sharif Zakir marks a troubling escalation, with Zakir having already faced the abduction of family members by security forces.

Dr. Naseem stated that these incidents form part of a broader, organized campaign against Baloch scholars, as evidenced by the fates of Professor Saba Dashtiyari, Professor Abdul Razzaq, and others. He suggested that the Pakistani military-backed agents are behind this campaign to intimidate and silence voices advocating for freedom and justice in Balochistan. Criticizing the lack of international response, Dr. Naseem warned that global silence only emboldens state-driven crimes against humanity in the region and called for an impartial investigation into these egregious acts.
