European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's first official visit of her new term will be to India, highlighting its growing clout. On the sidelines, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio conducted his inaugural bilateral meeting with India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. These engagements reflect the intensified partnership between India and the US, as emphasized in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Washington, which saw commitments to double US-India trade by 2030.
