Sunil Bharti Mittal, the founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, has received the Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) medal. The medallion was awarded during a special investiture ceremony at the British High Commissioner's residence in New Delhi, witnessed by his family and close friends.
This prestigious honor was announced in 2024, recognizing Mittal's contributions to fortifying business relations between the UK and India. British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, expressed her pleasure in presenting the KBE to Mittal, acknowledging his investments in companies such as BT, Gleneagles, Norlake Hospitality, and OneWeb.
Mittal's achievements were further acknowledged through his leadership in the India-UK CEO Forum and a recent Indian business delegation to the UK. He expressed gratitude upon receiving the accolade from King Charles III and emphasized his commitment to enhancing bilateral economic ties.
