The incident necessitated halts, including the Bahauddin Zakariya Express at Begamaji Station, with Shah Hussain, Green Line, and Fareed Express trains delayed elsewhere. Authorities appealed for passenger patience during restoration, as investigation into potential track flaws commenced. This follows a recent Shalimar Express off-track incident near Shahdara.

In a bid to avert disaster, the swift handling of the Tezgam Express derailment prevented a potentially severe accident similar to a past event involving the Shalimar Express, which narrowly avoided catastrophe on a bridge near Barkat Town.
