Abu Dhabi [UAE], March 24 (ANI/WAM): UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in a significant phone discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The leaders explored opportunities to bolster their countries' strategic partnership, emphasizing their commitment to enhancing collaboration across various sectors.
This dialogue, falling under the ambit of strengthening ties, also saw Putin acknowledging the UAE's pivotal role in mediating prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine. Most recently, these diplomatic efforts facilitated an exchange in March, which took place amidst escalating tensions.
Sheikh Mohamed thanked Putin for Russia's cooperation and reiterated the UAE's dedication to humanitarian efforts and peaceful conflict resolution. The leaders also exchanged views on global issues, with the UAE reaffirming its ongoing support for peace and stability worldwide.
