Pelicans F Mirotic sidelined by calf injury

The New Orleans Pelicans will be without forward Nikola Mirotic for at least one week due to a right calf strain. An MRI confirmed the injury Thursday, and the 27-year-old missed the team's 122-116 road loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder later that evening.

Mirotic sustained the injury late in the Pelicans' 98-94 loss to the visiting Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. He joins Anthony Davis (finger) and Julius Randle (ankle) on the sideline for New Orleans. Mirotic is averaging 16.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in 32 games (22 starts) this season.
