Philippines President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., on a historic five-day state visit to India, was ceremonially received at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored the occasion, marking Marcos's maiden visit to India since taking office in 2022.

This significant visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations. Prior to the official reception, Marcos engaged in discussions with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who expressed confidence in a strengthened bilateral partnership through forthcoming talks with Prime Minister Modi.

The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the enthusiasm surrounding Marcos’s visit, signifying reinforced collaboration across various sectors, including trade, defense, and digital technologies.
