In a pivotal move towards strengthening maritime cooperation, the Indian Navy, Brazilian Navy, and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited inked a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi's visit to Brazil.

The accord will focus on sharing information regarding the maintenance of Scorpène-class submarines and other naval vessels, marking a notable step in global defense collaboration. This initiative aims to enhance life-cycle support and facilitate the exchange of expertise in maintenance, logistics, and training between both nations.

This advance paves the way for increased defense R&D collaboration, driving innovation in sustaining naval platforms. Amid recent high-profile visits and discussions, including the 40-member Brazilian delegation's visit to India's Naval Headquarters, both nations underscore their commitment to enhancing bilateral maritime cooperation and fortifying defense ties.
