Bulls commit to Boylen for 2019-2020 season

Jim Boylen will be back with the Chicago Bulls next season. Vice president of basketball operations John Paxson said at a Thursday press conference to introduce newly acquired forward Otto Porter that Boylen is "doing the right things" to earn a longer stint as head coach.

Boylen replaced Fred Hoiberg in December following a 5-19 start by the Bulls. A near mutiny took place early in Boylen's tenure, as players protested the intensity of back-to-back practices and called a players-only meeting. Chicago is 12-42 this season.

Paxson said Thursday the Bulls "absolutely" are planning to bring Boylen back next season. --Field Level Media
